ENSURING ACCESS

We want members, no matter their financial situation, to able to come to iCan House.  We have established a scholarship program, funded by our operating budget, set up to help alleviate some of the financial challenges that iCan House dues may create.

SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS

FOR NEW MEMBERS:

STEP 1) Each new member needs to complete the application process and gain program acceptance prior to applying for scholarship funds. Call our office at 336.723.0050 if you need assistance with this. All members must have membership application, member documents, in-person intakes, and final program placement in place prior to beginning scholarship application.
STEP 2) After gaining admittance to one of our programs, download the scholarship application.

(Please see below for the scholarship timeline.) The scholarships are awarded on a quarterly basis and your application must be submitted on time to be considered. Omitting any information or failing to submit a required document removes an application from consideration for the upcoming award period. It is your responsibility to follow through with all parts of the application process.

HOW WE AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are awarded by a non-bias, unpaid scholarship committee of caring individuals.  The iCan House staff is not responsible for the final decisions. While we wish that we could award all applicants, there are unfortunately more people that apply most quarters than we can fund. The scholarship committee places great emphasis on not only on financial need, but also on your questionnaire responses. If you decide to apply, invest time in the narrative portion of the application as well as FILL OUT ALL FORMS in their entirety.
